Had a really really nice stay of three nights, and would return there. Truly enjoyed how the huge and large king room in rustic style was arranged when we arrived. Interior was rustic. The location was MAGNIFICENT, so close to the natural park, and wild nature. Furthermore, to the caves.

Actually everything was great, my next choice again in Los Guineos Perdidos. The hotel was clean and quirky, had very good staff and amazing rooms. The location was charming, close enough to the rain forest, the coast and the valley below and the nearest harbor. Also, Los Haitises National Park was in close proximity to the property. The room in rustic style. The provided service was exceptional.

I was amazed by the stunning setting of the hotel, with breathtaking views all around. The hotel seamlessly blends in with the beautiful natural surroundings, creating a truly unique experience. The rooms were beautifully crafted from wood, and I especially loved that they were named after birds found in the area. Despite being in such a remote location, the hotel provided all the necessary amenities, including mosquito nets in the windows, ensuring a comfortable and peaceful sleep. The dining options at the hotel were fantastic, offering a great variety of delicious meals. I also appreciated that there were not many mosquitos in the area, which was a definite plus. The design of the hotel was ingenious and perfectly complemented the environment. I had an unforgettable stay at Altos De Cano Hondo and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the preserved flora and fauna of the Dominican Republic.

One thing I absolutely adored about my stay at Altos De Cano Hondo in Los Guineos Perdidos was the stunning decoration of the hotel, particularly in its general areas. As a senior woman, I appreciated the warm and inviting atmosphere created by the beautifully crafted furniture and the soothing color palette. It truly made me feel like I was in a tranquil oasis, surrounded by nature's beauty. The accessibility for senior people like myself was also taken into consideration, with comfortable seating areas and well-maintained pathways that made it easy for me to navigate around the hotel.
If there was one thing I would suggest for a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be for the children working there to receive a bit more training in customer service. While most of the staff members were pleasant, there were a few instances where I felt slightly overlooked or not given the attention I needed.

The hotel's proximity to Los Haitises National Park was a bonus. Highly recommend going on a hiking or kayaking trip with the knowledgeable guide, Wilfred.
